Hayling Herald
Chit Chat Club
AFTER the Christmas break it was lovely to return to club and see our members once again.
We enjoyed a game of bingo leaving plenty of
time for friends to catch up.
The following week members were asked to
complete our annual activity questionnaire. This
poses questions asking what activities members
enjoy most at club and invites suggestions for the
future.
The feedback is collated, then shared with
members and used in our plans for the coming
year with an emphasis on firm favourites and
member suggestions.
During January we were treated to a fantastic
afternoon from Hayling’s own Debbie Jarvis.
Debbie shared her experience of twice competing
in the sailing category of the Olympics. She also
highlighted the sailing achievements of her two
children.
Everyone found the talk and accompanying
photographs fascinating. Thanks Debbie for a
brilliant afternoon.
We rounded up January with a regular activity
– our fish and chip lunch. Our thanks go to the
Dolphin Fish Bar who provided our food. This

arrived freshly cooked, piping hot and utterly delicious. Excellent customer service and a definite
hit with our members.
In February we enjoyed a sing-along with Gina,
a Scam Awareness Talk, a craft activity – stone
painting – and a fire safety talk.
The above gives a broad idea of what is on offer
at our friendly club. If you would like to join in
the fun you might like to know what we’ll be
offering in March.
We’re starting the month with our own ChitChat Olympics, next a craft activity – card making – followed by a performance from the Pat
O’Malley Choir and ending, by popular demand,
with a fish and chip lunch.
Activities are subject to change as, on occasions, unforeseen circumstances mean cancellations, however tea, cake and plenty of chit-chat
are mandatory.
If you would like to join our friendly seniors
club please call HICCA on 02392 467545 for
more information. Your first week is free of
charge so why not come along and give us a try?
We offer transport when possible and have just
opened our waiting list.
HIBHA works to ensure members’ voices are
heard and to protect the long-term interests of
the beach hut community.
Due to circumstances beyond the committee’s
control, our membership database was unfortunately deleted. As a result, we are asking all beach
hut licence holders to please re-join the association to ensure you continue receiving updates
and representation. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your
understanding. Our GDPR policy is available to
