Holiday park’s community investment
FIFTY-ONE new holiday homes have been built at Hayling Island Holiday
Park, in Manor Road.
The owners, Meadow Bay Villages, say they have invested more than £7m since
they bought the company two years ago.
The new Woodpecker Meadows development offers a substantial selection of
holiday homes for visiting holiday guests and includes 14 exclusive lakeside plots
for holiday home owners.
Following the investment and a programme of improvements, Hayling Island
Holiday Park welcomed 25% more guests in 2026 than in 2025.
They add that the investment has also delivered wider benefits for the local
community through supporting employment, local businesses and the wider
Island economy.
It has taken five months to complete the Woodpecker Meadows development,
with Elliotts Builders supporting local employment throughout the project. The
company engaged local tradespeople, including groundworkers and landscapers,
helping ensure that the investment also benefited workers and businesses within
the surrounding community.
Following decades of under-investment and a period in administration under
its previous ownership, the improvements at Hayling Island Holiday Park over the
past two years have included the redevelopment of the outdoor lido and splash
park, improvements to the park’s front entrance and car park, the creation of new
holiday home developments, as well as wider upgrades across the site.
