Community update Hayling Herald
Chit Chat Club
By Maggie Shelton
DURING August members enjoyed a
wide variety of entertainment.
Pat O’Malley and the Sisters in Harmony raised the roof with their brilliant voices. A photo quiz had everyone
thinking back in time. We also enjoyed
a talk from Hayling Lions, Marilyn
Skennerton and Helen Stelitano on the
history of the charity.
We also posted a request for new session helpers and were extremely lucky
to recruit two new lovely ladies.
Also throughout August the MadHatters Tearoom and Gift Shop very
generously sponsored the fresh fruit
for our weekly raffle. Everyone at Club
sends their thanks.
In September we had a trip with
lunch on the Chichester Canal, a birthday party with great music and lovely
food, a game of seated badminton and
a whole session dedicated to members
chatting and catching up with their
club friends.
Looking forward to October, the
weeks will include a film on the history of Hayling, a crafting session, live
music and our beloved fish and chips
lunch.
We try to follow our agenda as closely as possible. Inevitably on occasions
changes occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
New members are always welcome. If
you would like to join our friendly seniors club please call HICCA on 02392

because your first week is free you can
always come along and give us a try.
