Hayling Herald Camera Club
A bigger splash
By Debbie McIlroy, President of
Hayling Island Camera Club
THE club season is now well
and truly in full swing.
We’ve welcomed some new
members to the club, as well
as our returning members.
The club was lucky enough
to receive a write-up about
our annual exhibition, held in
August, by the President of the
Southern Counties Photographic
Federation in their recent
newsletter.
We’ve also had two great
speakers to date as well as our
first member workshop.
October sees us hosting
our first digital image club
competition, judged by Andrew
Mills MA ARPS. We then
welcome Julia Wainwright,
speaking on Natural World
Photography in the Western
Debbie McIlroy: Raven’s stare

Palearctic. We then host our first
print competition, judged by
Chris Dixon ARPS.
The month ends with our
annual battle with Selsey Camera
Club and our second workshop.
If you’re thinking of taking
up photography, or you want
to improve your skills, you are
welcome to attend one of the
evenings.
It’s £5 per person for nonmembers. If then you decide to
join, we will deduct any paid
non-members fees from your
membership.
